Getting Started with FEXmagnet

4 min read

FEXads builds and runs Facebook and Instagram ad campaigns for life insurance agents: final expense, IUL, and mortgage protection. FEXmagnet is the client portal that comes with it. The ads run inside your own ad account, a real person builds every campaign by hand, and every lead comes to you by text and email the moment someone submits the form. This guide walks through the whole thing, from your application to your first lead.

1. Apply at FEXads

Start at fexads.com. The application is short: what you sell, the states you work, and a phone number. Nick texts you back personally. If it is a fit, you pay the $700 setup fee and we send your FEXmagnet portal login. There is no separate portal subscription.

2. Connect Your Facebook Page and Ad Account

In the portal, open Settings and connect Meta. This uses Meta's own login dialog. You pick the Facebook page and the ad account the campaigns should run in, and you grant us access to build inside them. A few things worth knowing:

  • You keep ownership. The page, the ad account, and the pixel stay yours. We are a guest with permission to build, not the owner.
  • No page yet? Create a plain business page for your agency in Facebook first, then come back and connect it. It takes a few minutes.
  • Ad account needs a payment method. Meta bills the ad spend to the card on your ad account, the same as any campaign you would run yourself.

3. Answer the Build Questionnaire

Before anyone builds anything, we ask about how you sell and who you want the ads to reach. This is what the campaign builder works from, so give it real answers. A vague questionnaire produces a vague campaign.

4. Set Your Budget

Pick the daily ad budget you want to run. The management fee is $500 a month flat, and it does not change with your ad spend. There is no contract. Cancel whenever you want.

Two separate bills, and it helps to keep them straight: Meta charges your ad account for the ads themselves, and FEXads charges the flat $500 a month for building and managing them.

5. Review and Approve the Ads

Campaigns are built by hand within three business days. When yours is ready, every ad shows up in the portal for review. Nothing runs until you approve it. If a headline reads wrong for your market or an image is not you, say so and it gets changed. You are the one whose name is on the page, so you get the last word.

6. Work the Leads

Once the ads are live, each lead arrives three ways at the same moment: a text to your phone, an email to your inbox, and a new row on the Leads page in the portal. Call fast. These people just filled out a form on your ad, and the first few minutes are when they answer. Our follow-up system covers the cadence after that first call.

If you run a CRM like GoHighLevel, you can also have leads forwarded there so they land in the pipeline you already use.

7. Log Your Sales

When a lead buys, mark it sold in the portal. This matters more than it sounds. Meta's ads optimize toward whatever you tell them counts, and if all it ever sees is form submissions, it will find more people who fill out forms. When it sees which leads became policies, it starts looking for more people like your buyers. The agents who log sales consistently get better leads over time from the same budget.

What Stays Yours

Everything. Your Facebook page, your pixel and the data it has learned, your ad account, and every lead that ever came in. If you cancel, we disconnect and you keep all of it. That is the difference between running your own ads and buying leads from a vendor: stop paying a vendor and the leads stop, and you walk away with nothing. Stop paying us and you still own the machine.

Tips for the First Two Weeks

  • Answer the questionnaire like you would brief a new assistant. The builder cannot read your mind.
  • Give the campaign time to learn. The first several days are Meta finding its footing. Judge the campaign on a couple of weeks of leads, not the first two.
  • Call within minutes. Speed to lead is the biggest lever you control.
  • Log every sale. It is how the ads get better.

Want leads without buying leads?

Buying leads is renting. FEXads runs Facebook ad campaigns for life insurance agents inside your own ad account, so the page, the pixel, and every lead stay yours. A real person builds every campaign and you approve every ad. $700 setup, then $500 a month flat. Cancel anytime.
